Project 53 is a team of creative individuals assembled from all corners of the design industry. Our belief is simple: stunning and effective design accomplished through relentless attention to detail and close working relationships.

Local and international projects are undertaken with the same key approach: to improve business with considered and tailored design that is coherent and appropriate whilst challenging traditional boundaries and conventions.

The Project 53 method is flexible and highly responsive through all aspects of our process, from budgeting, to new and innovative production techniques.

We take great pride in the quality and finish of our print work. A well established network of printers, manufacturers and suppliers help us deliver a broad range of creative products in traditional print, packaging or special substrates such as wood or plastics.

Our digital work is executed with pixel to pixel detail and our front end designers work closely with our back end developers to create new and innovative digital applications.

From impeccably produced print work that utilises elegant traditional techniques, to cutting edge web development, we are perfectly positioned to offer the most comprehensive creative design strategies across a broad range of disciplines.

Capital Artists

Capital Artists manage a portfolio of performers and bands over a wide cross section of genres. Project 53 work closely with the artists to develop unique an high quality identities. Broken Chords are a young, gritty 3 piece from Brighton who's 1st album was widely acclaimed.

We were commissioned to develop a new style for the forthcoming album. Our identity was based around our loud hand painted typeface and screen prints.

Imported Brands

Imported Brands commissioned Project 53 to design and develop a brand for their flagship vodka XERO. The Vodka is served in small bottles, frozen within its own ice jacket.

We produced a full identity for the brand incorporating on-bottle branding, packaging, website and designed unique wooden point of sale items and serving trays to compliment the identity.

Leeds Brewery

Project 53 provides the city's largest brewery and its ever growing portfolio of unique outlets with strategic planning and execution of advertising materials for a range of in-house and public occasions throughout the year.

We provide print and digital solutions and maintain the continuity of the outlets whilst taking into account the individuality of the pubs and bars.

The Gorbachev Foundation

In 2010, Project 53 were proudly asked by the Gorbachev Foundation to create and manage a brand for the 80th birthday of former president Mikhail Gorbachev.

We created 'Eighty', a suite of bespoke work to commemorate the event that included bespoke packaging for tickets to the exclusive Royal Albert Hall event, along with the event website and successful print campaign helping to sell out the event.

Milnes Walker

Project 53 were approached by Milnes Walker, a property company undergoing a re-brand and re-launch.

We were tasked with producing a cross platform identity that would transfer elegantly from signage and print to web and TV, but also stand alone as an icon. The outcome was a simple monochrome identity that whilst conveying a solid, professional reputation remained elegant and versatile.

Global Art Production

Global Art produce a diverse range of high end VIP concerts and events throughout Europe and Russia and beyond. Project 53 were briefed with the design of their new identity.

Crucially, the identity needed to work across large scale concerts and select VIP ceremonies in multiple territories whilst reflecting the experience and expertise of the team.
